Coronavirus Statement - A message of reassurance

At The Roundhouse, the health and wellbeing of our guests, family and staff is, and always will be, our highest priority and we do everything we can to ensure our guests have a safe and enjoyable stay. 

We have been using the last few months to plan to a range of possibilities to ensure that when we reopen on 4th July 2020, we are able to give you the confidence that we can do so safely. We are proud that The Roundhouse has fulfilled the necessary criteria to be awarded the Visit Britain "Good to Go" certificate and has received accreditation from the World Health Organisation for "Infection, Prevention and Control for Novel Coronavirus (COVID19)". 

We will be communicating clearly and frequently with our guests via remote media, prior to and during their stay, outlining policies and extra safety measures currently in place at The Roundhouse to keep everybody safe.

Do I require travel insurance? 

We always strongly recommend taking out travel insurance prior to booking, even for travel within the UK. 

What measure are in place to protect guests from Coronavirus at The Roundhouse?  

During this period of uncertainty, we are actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates from the WHO and following the advice of UK Government, public health authorities and medical professionals. 

We have put in place various additional measures including: 

  • Reinforcing rules of good personal hygiene to everyone at The Roundhouse. 
  • Minimising personal contact such as handshaking etc and following all social distancing measures. 
  • Hand sanitiser is provided and is required to be used before entering the building and at other contact points within The Roundhouse.
  • Special attention is given to frequently sanitise public contact points such as front door number pad, door handles, banisters and stair rails. 
  • Deep cleaning and sanitising is undertaken on checkout of all rooms - including virucidal fogging of all surfaces and soft furnishings.
  • Should any of our team show any signs of being unwell with any symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) they have been instructed to consult the NHS 111 Online Coronavirus Service and not to attend work until clear of symptoms 

Am I able to cancel my booking? 

The Roundhouse is operating as normal. As such, standard terms and conditions apply for all amendments and cancellations. If you are disinclined to travel,please do call us and we will be happy to move your booking to a future date subject to availability. 

What happens if I have been advised by my doctor not to travel, or to self isolate? 

You must not travel to The Roundhouse.  

If you already have a reservation with us, please call and we would be happy to discuss moving your booking to a future date. 

What happens if there is an outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Weymouth? 

We will follow the advice of Public Health England, requiring guests to comply with any additional screening measures put in place. 

What will happen if The Roundhouse has to close, or travel to Dorset is restricted? 

If we are forced to close or restrictions to Dorset are put in place, you will be able to amend your booking to a later date with 12 months of your original booking.
